The first female athlete to perform at Victoria's Secret
At the opening of the night in New York on October 15, Reese presented three floral-patterned underwear paired with a sexy smooth fur coat. To the next part, she jackets up her ripped-off pink baby tee, to reveal the delicate lace bra and ton-sur-ton underwear. The highlight is the giant white lace wings, the hallmark of Victoria’s Secret, that make Reese look both strong and charming.
This is the first professional athlete in history to step onto the stage of a famous women's lingerie and clothing brand in the United States.
Previously, Reese shared on Instagram with more than 5 million followers: “The dream has come true, from Angel to Victoria’s Secret’s angel. I finally got my wings. I’m going to stretch my feet on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025 stage for the first time, and it feels like destiny. Wings ready, heels ready. See you guys on the catwalk!”
Along with the sharing line, she posted a series of bold photos in lingerie, shaped with the brand’s distinctive white wings. A year ago, Reese was a guest on the show’s stage, and now she’s at the heart of the most anticipated fashion event of the year.
Reese recounts the moment she knew she was invited to the show: "I can hardly stop smiling! It will be a night I will never forget, and I am forever grateful for this opportunity."
Not just a personal milestone, Reese hopes this appearance will be inspiring. "I hope that I can inspire women and girls around the world, that we can dominate in our field, but also be able to pursue other passions. For me, that means stepping up on the world's most famous fashion and entertainment stage," the Chicago Sky player expressed.
A Victoria’s Secret representative also gave a warm welcome: “Welcome Angel Reese to the stage. The first professional athlete to become an ‘angel’, the word great is not enough to express”. In an official statement, the brand praised her as "a symbol of the bold power and spirit of modern women, who connect sport, culture and fashion in an unprecedented way."
Victoria’s Secret was founded in the 1970s in the United States. In 1995, the company began hosting fashion shows broadcast on television. The event once received the most attention in the fashion village, with the participation of top models such as Adriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum.
In 2019, the brand's "death row" home show crowded due to declining sales, the show reached a low percentage of viewers on television, accompanied by many scandals. In September 2023, the company hosted an online show Victoria's Secret: The Tour '23 with the participation of many oversized models. In 2024, the show returned with a crowded orchestra of angels, drawing attention with Lisa's (Blackpink) singing, internal performance.
Born in 2002 in Randallstown, Maryland, Reese is one of the most outstanding talents in women’s basketball today. She stands 91 feet tall and is known for her strong fighting style, confidence and fiery personality.
Reese began her career at the University of Maryland before moving to Louisiana State University (LSU), where she became the brightest star of the women's soccer team. In 2023, she won the NCAA championship with the LSU Tigers and was honored as the league's Player of the Year - a milestone that elevated her to national star status. In 2024, she was selected by Chicago Sky in 7th place in the WNBA Draft, opening a new chapter in her professional career.
